the main livelihood of my village is water, which is essential for the village because of agriculture. because my village is located in a tank -bound city there is no shortage of water. due to the location of the village in the dry zone ,rain water is not always available. due to the short rainy season in this area, rain, water is not sufficient.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦ there are several ways in which the people of our village can access their daily

water supply πŸ’§πŸ’§πŸ’§πŸ’§

there are several lakes adjacent to my village. the water of the tank is used to carry out the basic activities of the people on a daily basis . there are also people who sell fish for food from the lakes.

the water from the tanks flows in to the main canals constructed by the Mahaweli authority and supplies water to the village.

it mainly carries out bathing and washing activities

similarly , there are often wells associated with hoses. this well water is used of daily household consumption.

water of cultivation is also obtained from small canal system and cultivation..

πŸ‘Ό my village is a beautiful but poor village . there is only one school in the village. about 90% of the village children attend school. the rest go to the city and study in its schools. that is , the children of those who have passed the examinations and are financially superior go to urban schools.   most of the villagers are children of tenants. they did nit put much risk on the education of the children but worked hard to provide for them in those dats . so they do not always farce their children to go to school most of the girls did their homework as well as the boys and taught them handicrafts from an early age.      we also have a pre-school in the village . some young children are educated there but some parents do not send them  to preschool because of poverty .    primary education is generally completed and majority of students complete their primary education. only 20 % qualify for A/L meanwhile, there were children who stopped going ...
